August 14, 2023.  He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Alice Montgomery,  

three sons, Herman Lee Carter, Angelo Carter, Darius Montgomery, two daughters,

Monica (Michael) Fountain, Angela McCuien, mother, Rosie Montgomery, sisters, 

Tandura Hadley, Cynthia Taylor, Tammy Rideout, Lolita Montgomery, Sonya Ridout,

brothers, LeRoy Montgomery, Jr., Gary (La Tasha) Rideout, Michael King, 

Anthony Rideout, 9 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
