Estelle James Royster, 93 stowed away to her final resting place Monday, April 17, 2023. Her Lord
and Savior called her home to a well-deserved rest. Estelle was born on August 24, 1929, to Louis
Perry James and Bernice James in Wrightsville, Arkansas. Estelle was preceded in death by her
parents, sister, Essie Mae Brim, brother, Michael James, and daughter, Valerie Royster. Estelle
leaves to cherish her memory children, Felicia Royster-Brown of Ohio, Romney (Mary) Royster,
Carla Griffin both of Little Rock, two nieces, Stephanie James-Joiner, Siceily Harris and one
nephew, Stephen James (Falatta) and sister-in-law, Wanda James all of Atlanta, Georgia,12
grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Home Going Celebration,
11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, First Baptist Church, Wrightsville, Arkansas. Family Hour
will be held one hour before funeral service.
Estelle was employed by Timex and Baptist Hospital where she retired after 19 years and
8 months. Estelle wanted her children to receive a good education so they could obtain good
careers, become home owners and become self-sufficient adults. She stressed the importance
of hard work and a good education. Her greatest joys were attending high school and college
graduation ceremonies and vacation travel to Chicago and Atlanta.
Interment: Rest In Peace Cemetery, Hensley, Arkansas
