Betty Jean Martin, 84 of Scott, Arkansas departed this life Friday, January 2, 2026.

She is survived by husband, Aljavan Martin, Sr., son, Aljavan (Carmen) Martin, Jr.,

daughter, Tamara (Vernon) Aiken, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 

Sisters, Cynthia Cooper, Connie Rufus, Valerie Maryman, Dr.  Sandra Maryman,

Gloria Sims, Jacqueline Yvonne Thames, brothers, Bobby Maryman, Charles

Maryman, Billy Mitchell, James Mitchell, Randy Mitchell, Gary Bailey, nieces,

nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at St. Matthews

Baptist Church, 6411 South Kerr Road, Scott, Arkansas 72142. Visitation

one hour before funeral. 

Interment: Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery,

1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120.
