Argean Hicks, 77
August 4, 1947, God revealed his beauty of love by lending the world a
precious gift. Argean Hicks was born to the late Onada Phillips and Henry
Hicks, Sr.
Argean obeyed the gospel at an early age and was a member of the McAlmont
Church of Christ. She was present for the first service in her grandmother's living
room in 1959.
Argean was educated in the Lonoke School District, and graduated from Carver
High School, Lonoke, Arkansas. After high school she attended Philander Smith College
and joined the United States Army in August, 1966. Argean took pride in everything she did.
She worked for the United States government with the Department of Employment and
FEMA for over 30 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Sisters, Hattie Mae Hicks Wallace (Talladega,
Alabama), Rita Hicks Rosby (Ocean City, New Jersey), Vickie Hicks Butler (Sherwood,
Arkansas) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
